ABOUT US

Kafayat Adeola Oseni, popularly known as Designer Kay, is a fashion designer, creative entrepreneur, fashion educator, and the Founder & Creative Director of O_KAY Fashion and O_KAY Fashion Academy.

Her journey into fashion began in her mother’s shop, where an early fascination with fabrics and garment creation grew into a passion she would eventually build her career around.

In 2023, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education from Ekiti State University. Driven by a desire to deepen her technical expertise, she trained at Fashion Escalate Academy (FEA), completing her fashion designing training in 2024 and earning a Master’s in Fashion Designing in 2026.

With a blend of formal education, professional training, creativity, and practical experience, Designer Kay established O_KAY Fashion and later founded O_KAY Fashion Academy to help aspiring designers develop more than sewing skills.

Through the academy, she teaches practical fashion skills alongside creativity, confidence, discipline, professionalism, and entrepreneurship—equipping students with the knowledge and mindset to turn their craft into a sustainable profession.

Today, Designer Kay is committed to nurturing the next generation of fashion creatives and creating an environment where passion is developed into skill, skill into confidence, and confidence into purpose.

Who can enroll at O_KAY Fashion Academy?

Our programs are open to beginners, aspiring fashion designers, and individuals looking to upgrade their existing fashion skills.

Do I need previous fashion experience to enroll?

No. Our Beginners–Advanced program is designed to take students from the basics through advanced fashion techniques.

How long are the programs?
  • Beginners–Advanced: 8 months
  • Intermediate Only: 4 months
  • Intermediate–Advanced: 6 months
What are the tuition fees?
  • Beginners–Advanced: ₦350,000
  • Intermediate Only: ₦250,000

Is there a registration fee?

Yes. The registration fee is ₦15,000.

Is there a certificate fee?

Yes. The certificate fee is ₦20,000.

Do students need to come with their own sewing machine?

No. The academy provides sewing machines for students to use during training.

Is the training practical?

Yes. O_KAY Fashion Academy places strong emphasis on practical learning, garment construction, creativity, and hands-on projects.

What will I be able to do after completing my training?

Students will be equipped with practical fashion-designing skills and the confidence to create garments, develop their own designs, and pursue opportunities within the fashion industry.

Does the academy teach fashion business?

Yes. Students are introduced to the business side of fashion to help them understand how to build and grow a fashion career or brand.

Are payments refundable?

No. Academy payments are non-refundable.

Can I pay my tuition in installments?

Yes. Students can pay 70% of their tuition before starting the program. The remaining balance must be paid within one month after resumption under a signed agreement.

What is the payment policy for starting a dress?

A 70% deposit is required before the academy begins work on a dress.

Does O_KAY Fashion Academy offer advanced training?

Yes. Advanced training focuses on developing students’ technical ability, creativity, garment construction, and professional finishing.
